London Newspaper 1822

Here is an article from London, England in 1822 describing the unfortunate death of a boy 11-12 years of age. Who drowned going through the ice fetching his bung to play hockey with. The boy’s last name was Leatherbarren – more research is needed, but it would be nice to find out this boy’s first name. He is an early pioneer of the game of ice hockey.
